GEN I: Chapter 23: Part 2

It is time for a cute and quaint wedding! Chase and Kenya are just about ready to say those words that bind them forever in matrimony.

Chase shows his soon to be wife a little pre-wedding love and complimenting her appearance. Asking if she is ready she nods.

Kenya vows to Chase: "I have dreamed my whole life of having someone as wonderful as you, and someone who loves me as you love me. I give myself to you as your wife, and I promise here to treasure for all of my days the love we celebrate today. let us bring together our lives and find ourselves anew each day.

Chase vows to Kenya: "There was darkness for a long time and then there was light, and that light was you. Your love has given me wings, and our journey begins today. I pledge before this assembled company to be your husband from this day forward. let us make of our two lives one life. I want you for today, tomorrow, and forever.

They gave each other a smile that melted Jenni's heart. She was remembering her own wedding. Alan had been so sweet, and still is to this day. Jenni was glad he kept the promises he made. Hoping this marriage will be as blessed as hers is she shouted "KISS HER!"

Chase and Kenya laughed, then...

Chase kissed his new wife, and Kenya reciprocated her new husbands kiss. They were finally married. Kenya was so happy. Just to make sure Kenya got it, Chase kissed her again right after the first one. They smiled at each other, then Chase said "Let's go inside, I'm getting pretty hungry!" Kenya laughed at him. "Sure okay, I think your mom has something inside."

When Kenya stepped in the house, she couldn't help but gaze at her new ring. She realized then that everyone was in the kitchen. There was more celebrating to do even though the wedding was over.

Today is Damien's birthday! He is entering into teen hood. The family had gathered in the kitchen and were just waiting for Kenya so they could start the celebration. When she came in everyone started blowing their noisemakers and cheering for Damien, who could not wait to blow out those candles. He made his wish and took a big deep breath. All the candles went out at once when he blew.

At the sight of her now teen boy, Jenni thought he might need a haircut soon. She'll see how she feels about that.

Everyone sat down for some cake and wished Damien a happy birthday. He felt really glad to have his family around him, but was getting a little anxious about having so many people around him at the same time. Being a loner, Damien doesn't like big crowds much. He felt a little tug at the bottom of his pants leg and looked down to see Crystal wanting his attention. He bent down and scooped her up.

He realized not only did she want attention, but she had been left alone inside for a while during the wedding ceremony and probably had to use the restroom. So he took her to use the potty.

After finishing up Crystals potty training, Damien went in to clean the kitchen. He had always been a very neat child, and did not like to leave messes around for too long.

A wedding and a birthday, all in one day. Such a busy day leaves the Fullers' worn out. The family all went to bed for the night. Tomorrow is Monday and the week starts again. It is also Crystal's and Hayden's birthdays tomorrow, so they are making plans to celebrate before everyone leaves for work, bright and early in the morning for Crystal. Hayden wants to turn in his homework on his final day of school, so he will celebrate his birthday Monday evening.
