G IV: Chapter 4

Jennifer was welcomed home with open hearts and arms. She also didn't stay in her crib long before those arms were back, scooping her up for some cuddling.

Just a few days after her birth and Jennifer was already big news in town. Her arrival was announced in the newspaper and everything. Even Rachel's sister Carmel had heard of Jennifer and sent her a toy in the mail.

Johanna was using the computer to find a house of her own. She was ready to move out, not only to give the budding family some more space, but also to give herself a space of her own. Maybe even find someone to start a family with. She found a nice small home available, perfect for just starting out.

Then she joined Rachel, Brian and Jennifer in the family room to watch TV. After a few minutes Rachel handed Jennifer off to Johanna and went downstairs to get ready for bed. She enjoyed the playtime with the angel before putting her to bed, and then tucking herself in.

The next morning, after a pancake breakfast Daphne suggested that they all take a dip while the baby was napping. Everyone thought that was a great idea. Rachel joined them too.
An hour later the family got out and dried off. Johanna got dressed and called the family to the foyer, all but Brian who left to work on a case.

"I've decided to go ahead and move out. I was going to wait a couple of days, but what time is better than the present?"

Rachel wished her well and hugged her goodbye.
"You sure your ready to be out on your own?" Daphne asked. "It can be dangerous out there."

Johanna chuckled, "I'm sure I'll be fine, I'm just across the river, and I know Martial Arts - remember?"

Daphne hugged her tight and let her go. Johanna made a quick phone call for a taxi then rode to that small house. It was all hers now.

The next morning Rachel took the carpool to work. As the car approached the parking area of the hospital, Rachel gazed out the window. She missed her baby girl and was not sure how she would take the day away from her. Of course, Jennifer was safe and Rachel knew that well, but still. It hurt to be away. She decided she would try her best to get back to work and to call home every opportunity she had.
Daphne was happy to babysit Jennifer, she had no problems with taking the baby wherever she went. Even gardening. Jennifer seemed to love the leaves on the trees and watched them intently.

  1. I love this update! Favorite pictures: Brian cuddling his daughter, Jennifer in her crib with the toy from Carmel nearby, Johanna's expression looking at Brian and Rachel kissing in the hot tub, Daphne in the garden with the baby nearby and her bunny looking on. As for the beautiful house--is that the house the family lives in, or Johanna's new house (you said "small house" and it looks fairly large)? Happy, happy time for the family--I love the little nooboos and toddlers :D

  3. Those are my fave pics as well xD! I did say small, when I probably should not have - it is good sized but smaller than their home. You have seen it before actually - http://mysimhouses.blogspot.com/2011/07/jaden-home.html
I just love that house and since the Mansion I built for her was no longer available, I put her in that one.
