GEN II: Chapter 17

Late that evening, Jenni got an invitation to a small party that Crystal was hosting. Jenni asked if she could bring the boys and Crystal said she could, so they all got in the car and headed out.

The first thing the triplets noticed when they got out of the car, was a huge trampoline. When they went inside all three of them, at the same time, asked if they could go jump. Crystal gave permission and the three brothers went outside.

They had so much fun they stayed out there the entire party. Even with all the mosquitoes. They took turns jumping, and even had supervision some of the time. Though Charlie did fall off once, and hurt his tailbone. He shrugged it off quickly and got back in line, he wouldn't want to loose his turn because of a minor injury.

Inside, the adults just talked. Jenni met some of Crystals friends. The music career had done Crystal well, she was becoming quite a star. She had many friends, and hundreds of acquaintances. Crystal did not even like half of the people she knew, and had to deal with.

It wasn't too long before one of the guests picked a fight with Jenni, and the party was over. Crystal asked everyone to leave except her grandmother and cousins. She said her personal goodbyes with hugs before they left for home.

When Jenni and the boys got back to the house they changed into their pajamas and were just about to get into bed when Hayden called them into the dining room. He had gotten three birthday cakes for the triplets. It was celebration time, they were turning into teens.

**Happy Birthday James**

**Happy Birthday Cedric**

**Happy Birthday Charlie**

After about two hours of cheering, the triplets had grown into their teen years. With the time of playing pirates and tossing toy rockets behind them, more responsibilities lie in front of them. They would be starting High School in two days, which may be a shorter time at school but the work was a lot tougher. They wouldn't just be able to play all day, their parents and grandmother would expect them to help out in chores a little more too. It was time for them to prepare for adulthood. Figure out what they wanted in their life.

The party was over, and it was time for sleep. Each Fuller went to their separate rooms and fell asleep.

Sunday morning, Isabel got up early to take her boys downtown and get them a makeover. They were of an age now where appearances start to matter. She was happy to take them to the nearest stylist and buy them some new clothes, and a new haircut if they wished.

Cedric (left) went first, he liked his hair a little long, so did not cut it, just got a new style. He bought a new shirt, pants and shoes. James changed just about everything he could, except his hair, he liked that the way it was. Charlie kept his hair the same as well, and he also loved his shirt. The only thing he bought was jeans and shoes. Each one got two different outfits. They loved their look and stepped down when they were done.

Isabel did not forget herself. She is a woman who likes to keep up her appearance as well. She changed her hairstyle into something a little more fresh, and her clothes into something brighter. She picked up two outfits as well. When she was all finished the whole family went back home.

**While they were all gone**

Hayden finished his invention. He calls it a 'Miner'. It is supposed to dig into the ground, and help find gems or other buried items. He pulled it into the backyard for a test drive.

Hayden dug for about an hour, trying all the gears and buttons to make sure they work right. A few times the gears stuck, but with a hard tug they were freed. At one point the Miner jerked a little more than it should have. Hayden realized the reason for that was that he hit an air pocket. He pulled the Miner away to investigate.

Hayden stuck his head into the hole to discover that he had hit a cave. He yelled for his mother. "Come out quick, so you can make sure you don't hear anything bad," he said, and when she ran out there he continued "hold the end of this line and wait for me to tug on it."

Without any hesitation or waiting for an answer from Jenni, he jumped in.
