Where is Chase headed so early today?
He snuck off to meet his new found friend. Chase had made plans to meet Emerald here the previous night, his wife remains unknowing.
When he arrived the first thing Emerald did was ask Chase for some money. He obliged and forked over about §12. She thanked him and the two shared some light conversation. Emerald asked about Kenya and how she and Chase were related.
"Oh she's my cousin" replied Chase. Then he stepped in a little closer to Emerald.
He flirted with her, and spoke to her of never ending love and how special she was to him, even though they had just met.
"I feel like I've known you forever." Chase said.
"Oh your such a charmer, Chase." Emerald pointed out. "But, go on."
Chase continued to lay it on pretty hot and heavy.
Chase continued to lay it on pretty hot and heavy.
They shared a romantic hug, but Chase seemed to want to get a little closer. She was a little reserved though. Knowing he had to warm her up a little more, he bent to whisper soft words into her ear.
Emerald admitted that she had to leave now, but wanted a little more intimate goodbye. She gave him such a romantic kiss, that he was left wishing for more when she turned away.
Emerald not being there, Chase had no further reason to stay. His wife was probably wondering where he was anyway. He started home.
Only a minutes walk, and within viewing distance, of where he had been with Emerald, was the town hall. He had to pass it to get to the house. As he walked up he noticed a rally, and within that rally was his mother and also his father in law. Chase got a little nervous, and hoped they didn't see. He got out of there as quickly as he could, so he would not be noticed.
Back at home, Kenya was sitting on the couch alone, watching the television. Chase joined his wife, and cuddled with her. Pretty soon, and for a reason Chase knew not, his phone rang. Looking at his wife, he apologized for ruining the moment, and picked up.
It was Emerald.
As quietly as he could, he told her never to call him unless it was an emergency.
On the other end, Emerald, a little confused agreed and quickly stated she had just wanted to invite him and his family to a birthday party. Her birthday party. Chase said no and hung up.
There was a call from the kitchen for everyone to come and eat dinner. Most of the family showed up. Hayden was preoccupied. All he had done that day was dig for scrap at the local junkyard. He collected quite a bit, came home took a shower and got right to inventing. Hayden was determined to be a great inventor, maybe even have that as his permanent income when he was older.
The family sat together for a movie after dinner. Chase stayed particularly close to Kenya, and flirted with her quite a bit during this time. He had been left wanting when Emerald had walked away from him. He was secretly hoping the two of them would 'go somewhere quiet' but it didn't end up that way.
So he turned to his wife. She would always be there, right?
Chase even went so far as to offer her a massage. She took his offer willingly. Then Emerald turned and took him in a very warm close embrace.
***Writers note: I just LOVE that Isabel (Hayden's fiance`) is sitting right there behind them... don't you?

Kenya felt that Chase was acting a little odd all night. She wondered briefly where he had been all day, but only in passing. When he started flirting with her, and telling her how she meant so much to him, she really thought nothing more of it. He was being so sweet. When he offered a tumble in the sheets, she never thought to refuse, even though everyone else was still awake and not to far away. He had gotten her very interested as the evening went on.
Meanwhile...
Alan was showing Damien some tips and tricks to exercising. Damien was athletic like his father, that was something they shared together.
Jenni sat and read a book, enjoying some time of peace. Her children were all busy, and even her grandbaby was doing something on her own. Life was seeming to quiet down for Jenni, she seemed to have less responsibilities. Not so many demands on her time.
Crystal was out playing on the jungle gym and Hayden was eating his dinner. Better late than never. He hadn't realized how much time had passed while he was dabbling with inventions. Hayden always got lost in his own world when doing that.
